Shadow tweed is the darker of the two tweed options in the Rancher line, a deep gray with a tweed look that sits easily beside charcoal and black. Made in midweight wool felt, it has a 4 1/8 in crown pinched into a teardrop with western flair and a brim that reaches 3 1/2 in. It's unbanded, so the pattern stands alone. Velcro adjusts the sweatband; sizes run SM to LG. Wear it with a wool overcoat on a gray winter day.

Walt's tip: Hats off indoors and at the table. A wool coat and a felt hat both belong on the hook by the door.

How should it fit?
Level on your head, about a finger above your eyebrows, clearing the tops of your ears. Sizes in stock run SM to LG. SM fits heads 21 to 21 7/8 in (54 to 55 cm) on American Hat Makers' chart. Between sizes, size up and add an insert.
