A good costume starts at the top, and a broad black brim settles the question of who is in charge. This women's Cavalier is made of cowhide leather in black with no band, so the outline stays crisp and simple. The brim measures 4 1/2 in across and the crown stands 5 in, tall enough to read from across a festival field. Inside, a Velcro sweatband handles the fit. It is assembled in the USA. Wear it with a corset vest, a white blouse and boots, or keep it simple for a stage role.
