The tricorne is what most people picture when they hear the word pirate, and this one keeps it plain and dark. It's midweight cowhide in black with a suede finish, and the 4 3/4 in brim is pinned up on the sides and tied with a leather strap to make the three-cornered shape. The crown is 4 in, there's no band, and the AHM velcro sweatband adjusts the fit. Sizes run MD to XL, and it's assembled in the USA. Wear it with a long coat and boots and you won't need much else.

Walt's tip: If a side comes loose, re-tie the leather strap snugly but don't crease the leather sharply. Leather remembers folds.
