Cigar is that deep, reddish brown you'd find on a well-kept saddle. On a cattleman it looks rich without shouting. This one runs 4 1/2 in at the crown with a 4 in brim, midweight Australian wool felt, and a felt band clasped with a silver buckle. It's a fall-and-winter hat that works with brown boots, a canvas jacket or a sport coat. LG and XL are listed, adjustable velcro sweatband, imported.

Cody's tip: Pick it up by the front and back of the brim with both hands. Grabbing the crown pinch all day wears felt thin.

Measure your head where the hat sits and match it to the chart. LG fits heads 22 7/8 to 23 1/2 in (58 to 59 cm) on American Hat Makers' chart.
