Ivory keeps a poolside outfit light. This Cabana is a covered sun hat, made of polyester and fabric with mesh. The crown is 3 3/4 in and the brim 2 3/4 in, enough to shade the eyes and nose. AHM rates it 50 for sun protection and lists water resistance. There's a badge on the fabric band, and a velcro sizer inside. Sizes SM through 3X. Assembled in the USA.

Margo's tip: Keep a light hat in a bag when you're not wearing it. A white brim on a car seat collects everything.

How should it fit?
Level on your head, about a finger above your eyebrows, clearing the tops of your ears. Sizes in stock run SM to 3X. SM fits heads 21 to 21 7/8 in (54 to 55 cm) on American Hat Makers' chart. Between sizes, size up and add an insert.
Is the Cabana UPF rated?
Yes. The store lists a UPF 50 rating. The Skin Cancer Foundation says UPF 50 fabric blocks 98 percent of the sun's rays. Sunscreen still goes on the bits the brim misses.
