Walnut is a medium brown that forgives dirt, sweat and campfire smoke better than lighter shades. The Cabana's version is polyester and fabric with mesh, built as a sun hat. It measures 3 3/4 in at the crown and 2 3/4 in at the brim. AHM lists a sun protection rating of 50 and water resistance. A fabric band with a badge goes around the crown, and a velcro sizer handles fit. SM to 3X, assembled in the USA.

Margo's tip: Brown hides dust, but sweat still builds at the sizer. Wipe it down after a long day and let it air out.

How should it fit?
Level on your head, about a finger above your eyebrows, clearing the tops of your ears. Sizes in stock run SM to 3X. SM fits heads 21 to 21 7/8 in (54 to 55 cm) on American Hat Makers' chart. Between sizes, size up and add an insert.
Is the Cabana UPF rated?
Yes. The store lists a UPF 50 rating. The Skin Cancer Foundation says UPF 50 fabric blocks 98 percent of the sun's rays. Sunscreen still goes on the bits the brim misses.
Does it pack flat?
