Sun hats don't have to be beige. The Cabana in black is polyester and fabric with mesh worked in, built as a sun hat with a 3 3/4 in crown and a 2 3/4 in brim. AHM lists a 50 sun protection rating and says it handles water. The trim is fabric with a small badge. A velcro sizer adjusts the fit, and sizes run SM through 3X. Assembled in the USA.

Margo's tip: A 2 3/4 in brim covers the face, not the shoulders. Wear a collar or sunscreen for midday sun.

How should it fit?
Level on your head, about a finger above your eyebrows, clearing the tops of your ears. Sizes in stock run SM to 3X. SM fits heads 21 to 21 7/8 in (54 to 55 cm) on American Hat Makers' chart. Between sizes, size up and add an insert.
Is the Cabana UPF rated?
Yes. The store lists a UPF 50 rating. The Skin Cancer Foundation says UPF 50 fabric blocks 98 percent of the sun's rays. Sunscreen still goes on the bits the brim misses.
Does it pack flat?
The store doesn't list it as packable, so don't fold it. Folding can leave a permanent crease. Wear it when you travel, or set it crown down in the overhead bin.
Can you wash the Cabana?
