Paper braid is a straw-style weave made from paper, a warm-weather material through and through. This St Lucia mixes coffee and black in the weave, which keeps it darker than the usual natural straw and easy to wear with navy or black. The teardrop crown is 4 1/2 in, the brim 2 3/4 in, and the Velcro sweatband adjusts for fit. Bring it to a rooftop bar or a dinner by the water. Imported.

Margo's tip: A 2 3/4 in brim shades your eyes and nose. Your ears and neck still need sunscreen.
