Crocheted raffia is a loose, open way to make straw, and this men's fedora uses it in an ocean shade. The crown stands 4 in and gets a row of XX stitching around its base instead of a ribbon. A 2 1/2 in brim keeps sun off your eyes, though your neck is on its own. One size, with an adjustable Velcro sweatband to dial the fit.
