Most straw fedoras come in tan. Navy is the smart move if you want a summer hat that still looks dressed. The Coronado is lightweight soft straw shaped into a teardrop fedora crown at 4 1/4 in, with a 2 1/2 in brim that stays trim. The ribbon band finishes in a double back bow. A Velcro sweatband sits inside, and it is imported. Wear it with a linen shirt and light chinos for a patio lunch or a waterfront walk.

Margo's tip: A 2 1/2 in brim shades your eyes but not your neck, so on a long day in the open add sunscreen on the back of the neck.
