Gray hats get skipped, and that's a mistake. This silver wool felt rancher gets along with black, white, denim and every shade of charcoal, so it slides into a cooler palette without a fight. Up top sits a 4 in rancher crown; around it, a Southwestern print band over frayed grosgrain with a turquoise concho, which pops harder against silver than it would on a warm color. The 3 1/2 in brim stays tidy. Velcro inside lets you adjust the sweatband. Imported, size MD.

Jessica's tip: If you're between sizes, size up and use the adjustable velcro band to snug it in. It should sit level, about a finger above your brows.
