White straw looks fresh and stays easy to pair with nearly anything. The Felix is midweight soft straw in white, with a pinch front safari crown at 4 1/4 in and a 3 3/4 in brim that covers the face and some of the neck. Its trim is a 1.5 in band of fine leather string, finished with a wooden bead, and an adjustable chin cord keeps it steady. The sweatband is a drawstring. It is imported. Wear it with linen trousers for a garden party or on the deck of a boat.

Margo's tip: White straw shows smudges. Lift it by the crown, and wipe the brim gently with a dry cloth after a sunny day.

Measure your head where the hat sits and match it to the chart. SM fits heads 21 to 21 7/8 in (54 to 55 cm) on American Hat Makers' chart.
