Fine Mexican palm is a practical straw for a working hat. The Falcon in tan shapes it into an outback crown at 3 3/4 in with a 3 1/2 in brim that covers the face. For trim it carries a band of faux leather plus a chin cord, and the sweatband is elastic. It is imported. This is a solid choice for mowing, fishing from the bank or a long afternoon at a ball tournament.

Margo's tip: Toss the chin cord over the back of the crown when you don't need it, so it doesn't dangle in your way.
