Terracotta is the color of clay pots and desert canyons, and it gives this straw an earthy warmth. The Eppie in natural and terracotta is toyo straw with a 4 in safari crown and a 3 1/2 in brim, wrapped with two sueded bands. Its drawstring sweatband adjusts, and it comes in one size. It is imported. Wear it on a desert hike, at a southwestern market or out on the patio with a cold drink.

Margo's tip: Straw and dry heat get along, but keep it out of a parked car where the sun bakes the cabin.
