Some hats look brand new for years. This one shows up looking like it already survived a stampede. The Calamity is genuine leather in a distressed driftwood finish, with a western crown at 3 3/4 in and a 3 1/2 in brim. A waxed nylon band with a knot goes around the crown, and on the side there's a hand-stitched deerskin piece held with a flooring nail. Leather shrugs off wind but runs warm in summer. MD to XL, AHM velcro sweatband, assembled in the USA.

Cody's tip: Distressed leather hides scuffs, so don't stress the small ones. Do keep it off a hot dash.
