Gray is the cool-girl straw. It looks great with black, it doesn't show smudges the way cream does, and it reads a little more grown-up. The Avery is paper panama straw with a pinch front at the crown, 4.1 in tall, and a 3.55 in brim with curled sides. Faux leather loops, two of them, make the band. Formula: this hat, a black tank, a denim mini and black boots. S/M and L/XL, sewn in sweatband.

Jessica's tip: Silver jewelry with gray straw. Gold can work, but silver makes it look planned.
