A 4 in brim is where a straw hat starts doing real shade work, covering your face and some of your neck. The Trevi has one, on a round crown 4 in tall, woven mostly from paper braid with some polyester in a deep coffee color. A wood bead hangs on the band of waxed leather cord around the crown, and an adjustable chin cord keeps it on when the wind turns. The drawstring sweatband tightens the fit. Size MD. Imported.

Margo's tip: Cinch the chin cord on a ferry or a boat deck. Wind over water is never as polite as it looks.
