If your summer plans involve dirt, sand or a boat, the Falcon will keep up. The women's version is fine Mexican palm in tan, with an outback crown of 3 3/4 in and a brim of 3 1/2 in. Its trim pairs a faux leather band with a chin cord, and fit comes from an elastic sweatband. It is imported. Wear it berry picking, at a lake cabin or on a pontoon with a swimsuit cover-up.

Level on your head, about a finger above your eyebrows, clearing the tops of your ears. Sizes in stock run SM to XL. SM fits heads 21 to 21 7/8 in (54 to 55 cm) on American Hat Makers' chart. Between sizes, size up and add an insert.

Is the Falcon UPF rated?
