The founder knot is about as classic as a cowboy hat band gets, and the Butte ties one in two cords with a double loop. The hat itself is genuine leather in brown, with a western crown that rises 4 1/4 in and a short 2 3/4 in brim, so it won't fight you getting into a truck or under a low barn door. Leather handles wind and rough work but runs warm in the heat. MD to XL, AHM velcro sweatband, assembled in the USA.

Cody's tip: If the knot gets bumped crooked, slide it back to the side of the crown. Front-and-center knots look like a bowtie on a hat.
