Gardening, birding and long walks all go better under a hat that doesn't trap heat. The Smokey is khaki nylon with mesh at the sides, shaped into an outback crown 4 in tall with a 3 in brim. A wax cotton chin cord and plastic toggle keep it on when the breeze shifts. Inside sits a moisture wicking sweatband. It comes in MD, LG and XL and is imported. Khaki hides garden dirt nicely, which is a small mercy.
