Our take · Researched, not tested

A tiny magnet with a lot of color. Hat today, jacket tomorrow.

Painted portrait of Walt Mercer
By Walt Mercer, felt, fit and care desk Pen name, fact-checked by our team

This small pin brings a run of colors and holds on with a backing magnet instead of a sharp post. That means no holes in your hat, and you can move it to a jacket lapel or a tote strap whenever you like. Put it on a neutral felt or straw so the colors have room to show. Imported.

Walt's tip: Set the backing magnet flat against the inside of the band so the pin sits square on the outside.
