Brown leather gives the SR2 a warmer, more antique look than the black. The women's version is cowhide with a top hat crown that rises 4 1/2 in over a 2 in brim. Its band is leather fitted with rings and drawn tight with deerskin lacing. Inside sits an AHM Velcro sweatband, and assembly happens in the USA. Put it with a bustle skirt and lace-up boots for a steampunk gathering, or wear it to the renaissance fair with a cloak.

Walt's tip: Velcro sweatbands snag fine hair. Smooth your hair back before you set the hat on, and lift it off straight up.
