If you only own one wide hat for the cooler months, camel makes it hard to go wrong. It matches cream sweaters, black jeans, plaid scarves and white sneakers alike. The Ashland is faux suede, with a telescope crown standing 4 in and a flat brim reaching 4 in, which gives decent shade at the farmers market. There's an elastic sweatband, and sizes are S/M and L/X. Imported.

Margo's tip: A camel hat with a camel coat is a lot of camel. Break it up with a white or black scarf.
