Telescope crowns are flat on top with a ring pressed in, and they look a little more deliberate than a standard pinch. The Ashland puts that crown, 4 in tall, on a flat 4 in brim, all in black faux suede. Four inches of brim covers your face and part of your neck. An elastic sweatband holds it in place. The black version is listed in S/M only right now. Imported.

Margo's tip: Black absorbs heat, so on high-sun days it's more about style than staying cool. Save the noon hours for straw.
