Green caps belong outdoors, and the Timberline looks ready for a cabin porch or a trail head. It's a structured six-panel ball cap in a low profile, made from waxed canvas with denim stripe. The bill is 2 3/4 in, the crown 4 1/2 in, and a snapback in the back adjusts the fit. Inside is a printed message citing Galatians 6:9 and the word Redeemed. Imported.

Walt's tip: If it gets damp on the trail, let it air dry on its own, away from the heater and the dashboard.

Is the Timberline enough for sun?

Not on its own. A cap or peak shades your eyes but leaves your ears and neck exposed, as MD Anderson points out. Add sunscreen, or pick a brimmed hat for long days outside.

Can you wash the Timberline?
