Our take · Researched, not tested

A denim snapback with a verse tucked inside the crown.

By Walt Mercer, felt, fit and care desk Pen name, fact-checked by our team

The Outrider is a structured five-panel baseball cap in denim and canvas, with a mid to low profile and a flat visor about 2 3/4 in long. The crown sits 4 1/2 in high, and a snapback closure makes it one size. Inside the crown you'll find John 8:32 and the word Redeemed. Denim goes with nearly everything in a casual closet, from a white tee to a flannel.

Walt's tip: Take a cap off at the table and during the anthem, same as any hat. The snapback lets you adjust the fit in seconds.

Questions

What size is the Outrider?

The store lists it as one size, which it describes as one size fits most. If you measure at either end of the size chart, a fitted hat in your size may sit better. A foam insert can take up a little room.

Is the Outrider enough for sun?

Not on its own. A cap or peak shades your eyes but leaves your ears and neck exposed, as MD Anderson points out. Add sunscreen, or pick a brimmed hat for long days outside.

Can you wash the Outrider?

Check the care label on the store page first. Most fabric hats take a gentle hand wash in cool water and air drying on a bowl or balled towel so the crown keeps its shape. Skip the dryer.

Can you return it?

Per American Hat Makers, as stated on their site Nov 6, 2026, it offers 90-day easy returns. Policies change, so confirm on the store's page before you order.

Do you sell this hat?

No. American Hat Makers sells it. The store button opens their product page, and we earn a commission if you buy, at no cost to you.
