Bao straw is a woven straw, and in tan it looks right with a linen shirt and loafers. The Sorrento shapes it into a teardrop fedora crown, 4 1/4 in tall, over a 3 1/4 in brim that shades the face nicely for a fedora. Taupe ribbon circles the crown and ties off in one bow. Sizing is S/M or L/XL, with an adjustable Velcro sweatband to fine-tune. Straw is the warm-weather hat, so this is for summer lunches, garden parties and weddings outdoors. Imported.

Margo's tip: Pinch it by the crown, not the brim, when you take it off. Straw brims remember every grab.
