Look twice at the ornate pattern lasered into this black leather and you'll find skulls tucked into the baroque scrolls. The cowhide is heavyweight and shaped into a proper top hat, with a 4 in crown and a 2 in brim. A removable liner covers the sweatband, which makes cleanup simpler. Top hats had their heyday in the nineteenth century, and this one would have rattled most of it. Leather handles wind and rough use but runs warm in heat, so it suits cool nights, concerts and costume parties. Assembled in the USA, sizes MD to XL.

Walt's tip: Keep it away from a hot dashboard or trunk, and set it down on its crown so that short brim keeps its line.
