An ivy cap is the cool-girl shortcut for cold-weather outfits. The women's Jace is wool felt in black, with a flat crown, a 2 in bill, and an inner drawstring sweatband so you can snug it up. How should it fit?
Level on your head, about a finger above your eyebrows, clearing the tops of your ears. Sizes in stock run MD to XL. MD fits heads 22 to 22 3/4 in (56 to 57 cm) on American Hat Makers' chart. Between sizes, size up and add an insert.
Is the Jace enough for sun?
Not on its own. A cap or peak shades your eyes but leaves your ears and neck exposed, as MD Anderson points out. Add sunscreen, or pick a brimmed hat for long days outside.
How do you clean the Jace?
Brush felt with a soft hat brush, counterclockwise, and lift lint with a barely damp cloth or a lint roller. Keep it away from heat, which can shrink felt, and store it on its crown so the brim keeps its shape.
