A chin cord is a small thing until the wind picks up on a boat. The Ezra is 100% toyo straw, natural in color, with a rancher crown at 4 in and a 3 1/2 in brim. It wears a double fine leather band, and the adjustable chin cord fastens with a metal toggle. The sweatband adjusts with a drawstring. It is imported. Take it sailing, to a breezy beach or on a long walk along the cliffs.

Margo's tip: Slide the metal toggle up under the chin only when it's gusty, and let it hang loose the rest of the time.

Level on your head, about a finger above your eyebrows, clearing the tops of your ears. Sizes in stock run MD to XL. MD fits heads 22 to 22 3/4 in (56 to 57 cm) on American Hat Makers' chart. Between sizes, size up and add an insert.
