Toquilla palm is the real Panama straw, and this women's Caracas is woven from it, soft and light in a natural shade. The fedora crown measures 4 in and the brim 2 1/2 in, so it frames the face rather than hiding it. Grosgrain ribbon, 1.5 in wide with a crosspiece, trims the crown. It suits a white sundress, a vineyard visit or a summer lunch that runs long. The AHM velcro sweatband adjusts, and MD and LG are listed.

Margo's tip: Soft palm creases where it's handled. Hold it by the brim edge, front and back, to put it on and take it off.
