A leather band does a lot of work for its size. The Dillon pairs brown and black leather and dots it with small studs, then adds fine stitching, which suits a cowboy hat, a gambler or a leather outback. Keep in mind it is the band only. Swap it onto a hat whose ribbon has seen better days, or use it to darken a light straw.

Walt's tip: Fit the band snug around the base of the crown before you trim or tie anything, and keep the studs facing out.
