A dark straw is a nice surprise in July. The women's Coronado is navy, made of lightweight soft straw with a teardrop fedora crown that stands 4 1/4 in. The brim is a neat 2 1/2 in, and the ribbon band carries a double back bow with a contrasting crosspiece. Velcro inside handles the fit, and it is imported. Navy loves white and stripes, so try it with a striped top and white trousers for a boat day or a seaside brunch.

Margo's tip: Straw fedoras are happiest stored on a shelf crown down, away from a sunny window that can fade navy over a summer.
