Official Rules: MyHatFinder Monthly Hat Giveaway

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, 18 OR OLDER (OR THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR STATE, IF OLDER). VOID IN PUERTO RICO, ALL OTHER US TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS, OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES, AND WHERE PROHIBITED.

The MyHatFinder Monthly Hat Giveaway (the “Promotion”) is sponsored by Revere Advertising, 220 Calle Manuel Domenech, Unit #647, San Juan, PR 00918 (“Sponsor”), the operator of myhatfinder.com.

By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and to Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding on all matters related to the Promotion. Winning a prize depends on meeting every requirement in these rules.

The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by American Hat Makers or any other retailer whose products appear on myhatfinder.com. Those retailers are not responsible for the Promotion.

2. Who can enter

The Promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry (19 in Alabama and Nebraska; 21 in Mississippi).

The Promotion is not open to residents of Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, any other US territory or possession, or anywhere outside the United States.

These people may not enter or win:

Sponsor’s owners, officers, employees, contractors, writers and editors.
Employees of American Hat Makers and of any agency or vendor involved in running the Promotion.
The immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their spouses) and household members of anyone above, whether related or not.
Anyone who has already won any MyHatFinder giveaway (see section 5).

The Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. When it runs

The Promotion begins at 12:00:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) on November 6, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 pm ET on October 31, 2027, unless Sponsor ends it earlier as described below (the “Promotion Period”).

The Promotion Period is divided into monthly entry periods (each a “Month”), up to 12 in total. The first Month runs from the start of the Promotion to 11:59:59 pm ET on November 30, 2026. Each later Month starts at 12:00:00 am ET on the first day of a calendar month and ends at 11:59:59 pm ET on its last day.

Each Month has its own drawing. Entries do not carry over: an entry counts only in the Month in which it is confirmed (section 4). To be in a later Month’s drawing, enter again during that Month.

Ending the Promotion early: Sponsor may end the Promotion after any Month by posting a notice at myhatfinder.com/giveaway/rules/ before the next Month begins. A Month that has already started always runs to its end, and its prize is drawn and awarded under these rules. Ending the Promotion does not affect any prize already won.

Sponsor’s computer clock is the official timekeeper for the Promotion.

4. How to enter

Entry is free. To enter during a Month:

Go to myhatfinder.com and select Win a hat.
Enter your own email address and confirm you meet the eligibility rules in section 2. Telling us the hat style you’d pick and your hat size is optional and does not affect your chances. No name is asked at entry.
Select Enter free. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and to join the MyHatFinder email list.
Open the confirmation email we send and click the confirmation link within 72 hours. Your entry counts only once you confirm it, and only in the Month in which you confirm.

Email list: entering adds you to the MyHatFinder email list (hat notes by email); there is no separate checkbox. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Unsubscribing does not cancel an entry you have already confirmed for the current Month.

Incomplete, late, unconfirmed or illegible entries are void. Proof of submitting an entry is not proof that Sponsor received it.

5. Entry limits and the one-win rule

One entry per person per Month. Each person may enter once per Month, using one email address. A person may not use more than one email address, identity or account to enter. Any extra entries in the same Month are void, and Sponsor may void all of that person’s entries.

One win per person, ever. Each person may win only one prize in this Promotion and in any future MyHatFinder giveaway. Each household may win no more than one prize per Promotion Period. Once a person has won, any later entries from that person are void.

Entering for yourself only. Each entry must be submitted by the entrant personally, by hand. These are not allowed and void the entry:

Entries made with robots, scripts, macros, AI agents, browser automation or any other automated means.
Entries made by or through third-party entry services, sweepstakes clubs, or anyone entering on another person’s behalf.
Disposable, temporary, relay, alias or forwarding email addresses. Variations of one address (such as “name+1@” or added dots) count as the same address.
Using a VPN, proxy or other tool to hide your identity or location, or entering from outside the 50 states and DC.

Who owns an email address: if there is a dispute about who submitted an entry, the entry belongs to the authorized account holder of the email address used. The authorized account holder is the natural person assigned that address by the provider responsible for it (for example, an internet provider or employer).

6. The prize

One prize is available each Month, up to 12 in total. Each prize is one hat of the winner’s choice from the hats listed on myhatfinder.com and in stock in the winner’s size when the winner chooses, with a retail price of up to $100.00. Sponsor buys the hat from the retailer and has it shipped to the winner at no cost.

Value. Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each prize: up to $100.00. Total ARV of all prizes in the Promotion: up to $1,200.00. If the chosen hat costs less than $100.00, the difference is not awarded.
Choosing. The winner must choose a hat and size within 14 days of verification. If the winner does not choose in time, Sponsor may choose a hat of similar value or treat the prize as forfeited.
No cash or transfer. No cash or other alternative, and no transfer, assignment or sale of the prize. Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the chosen hat becomes unavailable.
Fit and condition. The hat is provided as sold by the retailer. Any size exchange is subject to the retailer’s own policy. Sponsor will reasonably help with one exchange but is not responsible for fit, defects or the retailer’s warranty.
Other costs. Anything not described here is the winner’s responsibility.

7. The drawing and the odds

On or about the fifth business day after each Month ends, Sponsor will select one potential winner at random from all eligible, confirmed entries received during that Month. The drawing uses a random selection method, and its date, entry count and result are recorded and kept.

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received in that Month.

A person selected is a potential winner until verified under section 8.

8. Notifying and verifying the winner

Sponsor will email the potential winner at the address used to enter, within about 5 business days of the drawing. Sponsor never asks a winner to pay anything, or for bank or card details, to claim a prize.

Within 7 days of that email, the potential winner must reply and complete verification:

Sign a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability Release, and, where lawful, a Publicity Release.
Confirm their identity and age by showing a current government-issued photo ID. The name and address must match the entry and the shipping address.
Give a residential shipping address in the 50 states or DC. P.O. boxes, freight forwarders and package-reshipping services are not accepted.

The potential winner is disqualified and forfeits the prize if they:

do not reply or complete verification in time;
are found ineligible or not in compliance with these rules;
give false or mismatched information; or
cannot be reached because the email bounces or the prize is returned undeliverable.

If that happens, Sponsor may draw an alternate potential winner from the remaining eligible entries for that Month. Sponsor will draw up to three alternates per Month. If no alternate is verified, that Month’s prize will not be awarded.

9. Delivery and taxes

Sponsor will order the prize within about 14 days after the winner chooses a hat, for shipping to the verified address. Sponsor is not responsible once the carrier has the package, or for delays caused by the retailer or carrier.

Prizes are taxable. The winner is responsible for any federal, state and local taxes on the prize. Sponsor will issue any tax forms the law requires. At the ARV in section 6, no Form 1099-MISC is expected.

10. Fraud, disqualification and cancellation

Sponsor may check every entry with automated and manual reviews, including bot detection, email validation, and device and network signals. Sponsor may disqualify any person, and void their entries or prize, if Sponsor believes in good faith that the person:

broke these rules or entered by any means section 5 prohibits;
tampered with, or tried to tamper with, the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or the website; or
acted in a fraudulent, abusive, threatening or harassing way toward Sponsor or anyone else.

Sponsor may also void any prize it learns was awarded in breach of these rules, including after delivery, and may seek its return.

If the Promotion can’t run as planned: Sponsor may cancel, change or suspend the Promotion, or any Month of it, if fraud, bots, technical failure, human error, a virus or any other cause outside Sponsor’s reasonable control damages its security, fairness, integrity or proper operation. In that case, Sponsor may award that Month’s prize by random drawing from the eligible, non-suspect entries received before the problem began. Any change will be posted at myhatfinder.com/giveaway/rules/.

CAUTION: Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the lawful operation of the Promotion may break criminal and civil laws. If that happens, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies to the fullest extent the law allows.

Sponsor’s failure to enforce any part of these rules does not waive it.

11. Releases and limits of liability

“Released Parties” means Sponsor and its owners, officers, employees, contractors and agents; any retailer or brand that supplies a prize, including American Hat Makers; and any platform used to promote the Promotion.

By entering, you release and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim, injury, loss or damage arising from your entry, your participation, or the receipt, use or misuse of any prize, to the fullest extent the law allows.

The Released Parties are not responsible for:

lost, late, incomplete, misdirected or unconfirmed entries or emails, including emails filtered as spam;
technical, network, hardware, software or website failures of any kind;
errors in these rules, the website or any promotional materials; or
any entry or prize claim made by fraudulent or automated means.

To the fullest extent the law allows, any claim is limited to your actual out-of-pocket costs of entering, and never includes attorneys’ fees. You waive any right to punitive, incidental, consequential or special damages. You also waive the right to have damages multiplied or increased.

If you live in California, you waive California Civil Code § 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”

Some states do not allow some of these limits. Where that is so, they apply only as far as that state’s law allows.

12. Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a prize the winner agrees that Sponsor may use the winner’s first name, last initial, city, state and the hat they chose to announce the winner. Sponsor may use these on its website, in emails and on social media, without further payment. Sponsor will use a winner’s photo or video only with separate written permission.

13. Privacy

Sponsor collects your email address, and the optional hat style and size, to run the Promotion and to send you the MyHatFinder emails described in section 4. Winners also provide the verification details in section 8. Sponsor uses these details as described in its Privacy Policy at myhatfinder.com/privacy/.

Sponsor does not sell entrant information. Sponsor shares a winner’s details only with the retailer and carrier needed to deliver the prize, and as the law requires. ID shown for verification is used only to check eligibility; Sponsor does not keep a copy. Signed declarations are kept for three years as a record of the drawing.

14. Disputes and governing law

You agree that:

Any dispute arising from the Promotion will be resolved individually, never as part of a class action or any other group or representative proceeding.
Any claim will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and you consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.
Your recovery is limited as stated in section 11.

These rules are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these rules is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If these rules conflict with any other description of the Promotion, these rules control.

Social media: the Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google, Microsoft (Bing), TikTok, X or any other platform. By entering, you release each of them from any liability related to the Promotion. Sharing, tagging, following or posting is never a way to enter and never improves your chances.

Winners list: Sponsor posts each Month’s verified winner (first name, last initial, state) at myhatfinder.com/giveaway/winners/ within about 30 days after verification. For a written winners list, email giveaway@myhatfinder.com with the subject “Winners List” within 60 days after the Promotion Period ends.
